L'ouvrage retrace la carrière militaire d'Elvis Presley, depuis son incorporation en mars, en passant par sa formation de base et avancée au Texas, jusqu'à son départ de Brooklyn pour l'Allemagne en septembre 1958.
Il comprend également une analyse détaillée de la session d'enregistrement d'Elvis Presley à Nashville, au Studio B, en juin 1958.
Les CD 1 et 2 contiennent l'intégralité de la session d'enregistrement d'Elvis Presley au Studio B de Nashville en juin 1958, publiée pour la première fois dans l'ordre d'enregistrement original.

Ce livre contient également des détails, des photos et des informations sur les enregistrements maison d'Elvis en Allemagne.
Les CD 3 et 4 contiennent les enregistrements privés d'Elvis Presley réalisés chez lui en Allemagne en 1958 et 1959. Le son a été récemment restauré en exclusivité pour cette édition.
